San Rafael High School

The tradition of education in in Marin County began in 1888 when centrally located San Rafael High School became the county's first high school. It was the only high school to educate Marin students until Tamalpais High School opened its doors in 1908.

Parent participation is an integral part of successful education. San Rafael High is honored to have five booster groups to support its students, as well as a strong alumni association.. Each group welcomes and encourages parent participationWe welcome and encourage involvement by parents of current and graduated students, alumni and community members to take an active interest in supporting the tradition of education that began in 1888, when San Rafael High School became the first high school in Marin County.

Booster groups representing several different areas of interest exist at San Rafael High. All of these booster groups work in collabration with WeAreSR! to maintain the excellence of education for our students. If you have a particular area of interest, please visit the booster group's web page to learn more about them: Art, Atthletics, Drama, and Music.

 “IRREVERSIBLE CONSEQUENCES”

A film dealing with sexting, teen drinking and date-rape

Will be shown both in English and Spanish. The film chronicles the tragic ramifications for two teens who misinterpret communications through sexually-charged text messages.

Don’t miss the opportunity to raise your awareness on this crucial topic. Please bring your teenager along

It will be followed by a discussion with combined audience on how decisions teens make affect their entire future. Discussion led by Dr. Michael Grogan, Director of Jeannette Prandi Children’s Center

‘Irreversible Consequences’ is written and produced by the Jeannette Prandi Children’s Center (A safe haven for sexually assaulted children). It features students from San Marin High School.

This film may not be appropriate for younger children given the realistic portrayal of issues facing teens.
wearesrA brief update by principal Kit Pappenheimer and WeAreSR team members will precede the presentation
